i’ve cancelled my multiply account
why? because i feel like i have too many account on the internet, while im not using all of them
different sites, different account, there’s just too much of them and i want to delete account on sites that im not using anymore.
and for example, multiply, actually i wanted to remove myspace account as well as my twitter account too
i never used them you know..
multiply itself isnt very popular among my friend –soo,,….
for messenger-ing we have ym
for social networking we have facebook
for tweeting we have plurk
for gossiping we have twitter
for blogging we have wordpress
for stalkering our fav bands we have myspace
for tweeting regionally we have koprol
for searching documents we have scribd
and so on..
some of them -what i mentioned above- i have the account but rarely using them
i wanted to delete, like i said, twitter and myspace
but then i remember what my security information teacher -Mr. BR- have said :
“to protect my identity, to avoiding someone stole my identity on the net, i always make my own account with my own name on every (social networking) sites possible. it doesnt matter whether i will use them or not, but the main thing is to make your identity UNAVAILABLE to be stolen at every sites possible.”
*not exactly like that, but it was the meaning that i get -i think-*
it is connected to the main aspect of information security, which is :
CIA – Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability
and it makes me thinking,,,,,, should i or shouldn’t i delete my account from those sites i am not using??……………
