27 March 2010

last Saturday, i tried to walk on my ankle boot.

here’s the picture of what it seems like :

ankle boot

ankle boot

Seriously, i love high heels, although i havent find any confidence of wearing one on my daily life. hahaha :D

im only wearing it on several occasion, like wedding, or if i walk with my parents to the mall. im embarrassed if i have to wear it when i am walking with my friends. because i will look excessive, besides i  think im kind of pretty tall among my friends, so it will only make me looks taller (bigger). haha :D

though,, that Saturday i finally wore it..

I love this ankle boot from everbest, but the price was soooo expensive, i dont remember what time that was,, hmm, maybe in 2009. The price was almost IDR 700.000 for a shoe, phuihh.. i saw the shoe at Metro BSM, and since then i always checked the shoe. Metro BSM do a lot of sale, you know.. so, one day, the price dropped to, hmm let say between IDR 400.000 and 500.000? i dont remember. my mother allowed me to buy it, but i didnt, because it still so expensive :(

one day my friends opened an online store, for shoe, yupp, and she told me she could made a shoe exactly like what i want *like the picture above. i could get it for just IDR 150.000, of course i didnt want to miss that chance, and so i ordered from her. in maybe a month the shoe was finished.

hmm, what should i say? sometimes if you buy things online, you can only tell how it looks, but you cant tell how it is. I mean, the thing is about, how you feel it in your hand, how well the material is, how soft it is, how fragile it is, how hard it is, how big is the real thing, and so on.. you can not tell how it is based on your senses. you can only tell when the stuff arrived, and it will be too late to cancel and you will only feel regret. hmm, it happened to me when i bought clothes online. and so i am not going to buy clothes online anymore ;D

about the shoe, since i am the one who decided on the model, i had this vision of my about it. and here’s the other disadvantage of online shopping. you could be the one who decided the model, but when the stuff was completed, there are only two options, it is fit in with your vision, or it is not. and,, if it is not, you will be disappointed, and vice versa. so, hmm, let say the shoe was good, but it wasn’t fit very well with my vision. there.

and sooo, yess, i still had this fancy to everbest’s ankle boot.. :(

but you know what? another sale was coming on Metro BSM, and yess, you’re right, the price was reduced (again) till IDR 269.000!! waaaw, i was afraid there would be no other time, and yes i did buy it :D

and last Saturday i wore it… hihihi ;)

hm, this ankle boot, i guess the heels is around 12cms tall, yes it is very tall (according to me). people tend to say that “beauty is pain”. that Saturday, i really really was going through that. hahaha.. ok, ok, personally i think it is not right, i mean, “beauty is pain”?, come on… beauty is about feel comfortable being who you are, wear what you love to wear, just being you. so it is not pain. but my feet was hurt, yes it was, because i didnt accustomed to wear 12cms tall shoe. that was it. :p

soooo happy finally have my evb* ankle boot  -rock-. i guess i will try to use it more often ;)

fyi : i already got my Copeland ticket for the Farewell Tour! yay !

23 March 2010

really, at this time i dont know what to write :P haha

this is war album

ok, this morning when i drove my car, i set my mixed mp3 on the tape. and so i was listening to 30 second to mars, this is war album. i got on track 8, it called “Vox Populi“. The song i guess about war, and there was some voices of the children doing some part of the song. when i heard the song, i was moved, i shuddered and my eyes glazed with tears. yet, i didnt cry, i just felt so moved. i guess you should hear the song. if i decided to focus on the song, i guess i would successfully cried, ;P

btw, i havent buy copeland ticket, i guess next week it is.

this morning i had a mid test exam, the subject was information security, the one that the tasks have always been shared here by me. the lecturer is mister Budi Rahardjo. You all must have known him well, he was the one who founded Digital Beat Store (DBS) -a store where you can buy song/music digitally, 1 song for IDR 5.000, if i’m not mistaken, located at blitzmegaplex-.

we have this online website for college, it is http://blendedlearning.itb.ac.id. so, Mr. Budi decided to doing online test for the mid exam. i guess it’s kind of stress test for the website, haha,. because the class has 110 students, and some other students from another major said that when his/her class doing some test online with 75 participants, the website couldnt handle it and down/hang.and so be it.

at 7 o’clock all of the students sit in the computer lab and login. it was fine, and then we waited for the question to be uploaded by Mr. Budi. by the time the question was ready, all of us tried to access it at the same time, and it happened, “the url cannot be processed“, “the server is taking too long to respond“, and so on.. hahaha :D the website was down, clearly..we were trying several times, and then “database connection failed“, “you have 1 parameter lost”, and so on..

slowly i could get to the question, and try to answered them, and i submitted all of them and finish. but, wait a minute, since we did that online, my friend tried another option, he clicked submit page, and we could see all the corrections for our answer. hueee, i made 6 mistakes :(. i got 20 out of 26. is it bad? hmm..

overall, it was a nice and funny experience, -put my my mid test score aside huee :(- and it has proved blendedlearning as one of a vulnerable application on the internet. ;D

festive sound 2010

festive sound 2010

ok, so yesterday i went to LA Lights Indiefest Festive Sound 2010

after 2 days struggling trying to figure out how to take my two free tickets from the Quiz. huh,

i honestly felt that the official -the one that dealt with Quiz and polling winner- from the event wasn’t professional, at all. Let say it was “him” -the official-. He told all of us the winner of the quiz and polling located in Bandung should get the ticket on Friday, between 11 am till 2 pm at some hotel in hegarmanah. Since i had a mid test exam at 3 pm, me and my friends -i won the quiz, she won the polling-, dealt that we would took the ticket at 11 am. So, 10 o’clock i came to my campus, prepare the document for taking the tickets, and went there. You know what happened? He wasnt there, at all. We called and he said to come back to the hotel between 1-2 pm. Ok, i was rushing to get back to campus because i havent study at all -i know, awesome-. And then i studied, and at 1.30 went to the hotel again. This time i went alone. I get there 1.45 and waited til 2.45, i didn’t call because my cellphone for some reason couldn’t do a phone call. But i did message him, and he said “I would be there in 10 minutes, sorry :(“, “Ok, i’m already at the parking lot”, “I will only wait till 2 o’clock”. bummer.

till i left at 2.45 his nose didnt even show up. and you know, i dont know why but i had this feeling to brought my subject notes’ with me before i went to the hotel, but i didnt because i had this positive assumption of him, that he would be there and wouldn’t made all of us -the winner that wanted to exchange for their ticket wasn’t just me, you know- waiting for his arrival. and my assumption failed me. URGH

as you might already guessed, i went to campus, havent studied at all -of course since i left my notes at campus, NICE positive assumption you made huh-, and left the hotel with feelings of anger and annoyance. i arrived on time for the exam, and it went faaaaaaaaaaaar away from well -the test was all about memorizing the material, and i havent studied ok?-. after that i called him -the official- to asked about the ticket, and he said “sorry, how about tomorrow at the venue? from 12 to 2 pm at the ticket box. sorry earlier i was pray, then eat, then take a walk -HELLO??- , and then i got to the hotel and there were already a lot of people.” s***w y.

for Saturday, i already had plans you know? i would drove my family go around anywhere, but he said that he would only accept the exchange at 12-2 pm. ok. so at 1.45 i went to the venue -without any intention to went in because i would come in the afternoon-, walked to the ID online exchange venue, and got my ticket. and you know what it looked like? it looked like a bunch of excess flyer that they had, and they just add a stamp at the upright corner that says “invitation valid for 1 person”. EEEWWWWWWWWWWWWW -should have been better than that-

so, did you see why i called him -the official- UNPROFESSIONAL ? hey, although we got all the tickets for free, he shouldn’t treated us like that. if i wanted to i can buy the ticket by myself, it wasnt a problem at all. buy 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. bummer. he made us wait and gave time limitation while it wasnt mean a thing. because Friday he said 11-2pm, i was there and he wasnt, Saturday he said 12-2pm, but the booth for exchanging ticket was still open till late night during the event. what was the point of me went to got the ticket before 2pm and dropped my family without picked them up again? he sure know how to make people upset. and you know about his message ? you can read above, i already wrote them down and you see, he didnt say the truth. when i called? he answered while not exposing any signs of guilty or shame. ewww

thank God when i got the ticket i didnt have to see him at all, i just have to dealt with some official at the booth -a women-. phuihhh

ok, now i got the ticket -ticket would cost you IDR 50.000, but mine it was free-, all i did then was eat, waited for my companion and went to SABUGA. forget about the incident and just watched all the performance. yay

we walked in and went straight to stage 1, physcofun -indiefest 2009 finalistwas in, the mc was yas budaya from alone at last*. rain fell down and we decided to went in the building. before the stage 3 there was this booth for official band merchandise, i bought myself a T-shirt from efek rumah kaca for IDR 65.000. went in and there it was, the stage 3. i watched lars -also an indiefest 2009 finalist-, and then EFEK RUMAH KACA. they played beautifully, although still, i didnt know all of their song but i can tell you that was it, they played neatly and beautifully. :)

i dont remember the order but i think i watched gecko -another finalist-, and then it was break time for maghrib. we were starving and we bought mr.moo burger, yummy. we bought cheese burger for IDR 15.000 and smokey burger for IDR 14.000. while we were eating we watched  scared of bums, and dharma -those are finalists too-. we were filled to capacity and then we went to stage 1 again, there was electrico -band from Singapore-, i thought they were pretty good, the vocalists has some deep voice, calming. their song has wide variety of music. from one song to another the atmosphere/mood was changed too.. the guitarist, cute, reminded me to this Thailand guy who played at Alone and starred some P*nd’s advertisement. the bassist, funny, haha.

then we moved along to the banery. “salam dasi kupu-kupu”. i was amazed at how nice they sounded. they did some vocal harmonization which proved that all of them can sing. they sound good and their songs were funny -in my ear-. the vocalist, when he sang, it seemed effortless, i wonder how he did that. hmmm

after the banery my feet was killing me so we chose to sit. camera obscura then performed. their songs, hmm, reminded me to kings of convenience.. slow and comforting sounds. they were nice. and then the night ends and we got home.

pretty tired but it was worth it since i got the ticket for free, hahaha. btw, still, thanks for the free ticket from http://www.lalightsindiefest.com. and all the official who make the event possible, please consider the story above as an evaluation though, hopefully it is a constructive criticism.

still for buying ticket and watch live concert, i prefer to watch some rockin’ music and stuff..  so i can rockin’ sing and jump :D

oh, i had planned to buy Copeland ticket on Monday. see you all on 8th May ;)
